Simplicity For Spring

We all are patiently waiting for spring to bless us! Last Monday was the first day of the new season but we haven’t had much spring weather. The sun has poked its head out of the clouds every now and then but that’s about it. That’s okay though, for now because I’ve brought you this look to show you two things; how you can dress while waiting for nicer weather and also another trend, floral print.

As I mentioned in my previous post, “Spring, Is That You? ” I am not a girly girl, so floral print hasn’t played a major role in my wardrobe. I have a jacket from H&M (that you’ve seen me post before) and a midi dress (that I wore one time for my 22nd birthday). Floral print looks great on most people but my eyes just don’t usually gravitate towards it. But I figured I should embrace possibly seeing flowers bloom and the sun shining more in the near future. Also, it was shown a lot during runway shows for Spring 2017, so it is a predicted trend. While we wait for spring to make its grand entrance, I styled one of my good friends in it! This shift dress is great for right now because it is light weight, knee-length, and has long sleeves. For the mornings, jackets or heavy cardigans are still necessary, so I included the mixed media jacket. If you’re someone like myself, who gets cold very easily, you’ll need it keep a jacket close by for a few more weeks. Just by going into stores, I can tell the floral print trend will be a hit for the spring and summer seasons. Let me know what you think about floral print! Do you love it? Like it? Strongly dislike it? I would love to hear, so comment below! Keep scrolling to find the details of this look.

  1. I like florals, as long as it isn’t too “busy”, and doesn’t remind me of Grandma’s table cloth. 🙂
