Every time I go to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, the feelings that fill my heart are indescribable. It’s just so beautiful there and it really makes me appreciate the simple things in life. Going to the garden, opens your eyes to see that you don’t have to spend a bunch of money to enjoy life; nature’s here for us to explore! You see flowers, in such a variety of colors and types, it’s amazing. This picture of me was taken right by the Japanese garden. I am in love with this photo! Asymmetrical hems are still in. I bought this skirt almost two years ago from Bloomingdales. It is made by BCBGeneration. I loved it so much, that I have a very similar one, same brand, but in grey. Guess where my crop top is from? TopShop of course! I’ve had this top for a while as well, but never paired the top and skirt together. I got this peach bucket bag from H&M last year, right when bucket bags were coming back into style.
Once I left the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, I made my way over to the Brooklyn Museum. I’ve been to this museum a bunch of times and it has yet to get old to me. This is one of my favorite museums in the city! Every time I turn around they have an interesting exhibit that appeal to me. Whenever I go to museums, I try to put my phone on Do Not Disturb and just vibe out. I actually read and observe everything I come across. There’s never a bad time to stop, slow your life down, and just learn something new.
All I had to do was look at this view and it instantly made me feel good. The sunset was simply gorgeous! I went to a rooftop party in Clinton Hills and the rooftop was real life goals; which are definitely do-able with a lot of hard work and perseverance. The vibe was cool, full of cool people. I definitely enjoyed myself! Whenever I’m asked if I like living in NYC, I think about the good times like this and geninuly answer, “of course!”
