Beyoncé + TopShop = Ivy Park

I’ve been patiently waiting for this since I first heard about this collaboration in October of 2014, while I was still in school. I couldn’t contain myself then and today it’s still the same. Im almost sure it was my Fashion Merchandising and Buying class I wrote a paper about TopShop and included this in it! That’s how hype I was. Parkwood TopShop Athletic Ltd. is the joint venture company between Beyoncé and Sir Philip Green (TopShop owner) that will produce this dope athletic streetwear brand. It took them about eighteen months to develop the full collection. As soon as I saw the name Ivy Park, I knew part of the name came from her daughter, Blue Ivy!

A lot of times when paparazzi takes pictures of Bey on her streetwear vibe, she’s wearing TopShop, so I was so thrilled to see they would be working together. I’ve been shopping at TopShop since my freshman year of college. Whenever I would come to NY and visit my Bestfriend at school, we would make a trip to Soho.  To see everything finally come together with Ivy Park and land in stores in two weeks makes me so ecstatic! Topshop, Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter, Hudson’s Bay Co., Zalando, and Selfridges will be carrying the brand. Beyoncé said the purpose of creating this brand was to “support and inspire women and make them feel strong on a variety of levels.” I can see it now! I’m going to be feelin’ myself while trying to work out or act like I’m working out in whatever I buy from Ivy Park!
