Outliers : The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell

I just recently finished reading “Outliers : The Story of Success” by : Malcolm Gladwell. This has definitely made its way to one of my top 5 favorite books thus far. My Bestfriend told me about this book a few months while she was reading it. With the snippets of information she said were mentioned in the book, I had to read it. In Outliers, Gladwell goes beyond the normal factors of people becoming successful. Your culture and the enviornment you are brought up in both play big roles in success. He talks about things you would have never even thought about before or paid that much attention to until now. Gladwell explains why a handful of Canadain hockey players are born in the months of the beginning of the year. That would have never crossed my mind. I don’t even like ice hockey! It was very interesting to learn his reasoning behind the success though. He talks about Bill Joy, Bill Gates, The Beatles, successful law firms, two extremely smart men whose paths go two very different ways, plane crashes, the pilots who are flying these planes, his mothers roots/ethnic background, and so much more. I don’t want to spill the beans too much but I would recommendation this book if you have not read it. You won’t be disappointed!
