On May 26, A$AP Rocky released his second album, At.Long.Last.A$AP. I got hooked to his music when I first heard “Peso” off his mixtape, LiveLoveA$AP. That mixtape is definitely on my list of favorites. With songs like “Palace”, “Keep It G”,”Kissin’ Pink”, and “Houston Old Head”, you couldn’t tell me A$AP wasn’t all that. I was sold, the man was clearly a dope rapper. His sound was different compared to other rappers at that time. So of course I had to buy his first album, Long.Live.A$AP, in 2013. This album had a bunch of great features including Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Overdoz, and more. I also went to see him and the A$AP crew at the Electric Factory in Philly. Boy was that a night! I had such a great time, they put on a great show and it was such a cool atmosphere. This second album was originally suppose to be released next Tuesday, June 2, but he released it a week early and I’m so glad he did! This album is hot! I’ve been listening it to whenever I’m not asleep or at work. I don’t know if I have a favorite song yet because there are so many great songs like “Canal St.”, “Fine Whine”,”LSD”,”JD”,”Jukebox Joints”, “Everyday” , and “Back Home”. He also has some crazy features on this album too from Rod Stewart, Mod Def, M.I.A, Kanye, Schoolboy Q, Miguel, Future, Weezy, and many more. I’ve just been vibing so hard to this. I’ll have to see him again on tour after this. One little thing I’m iffy about though is his song, “Better Things”, when he mentions Rita Ora. That was kind of a corny and extremely petty move in my opinion but this isn’t the first time we’ve heard things about Rita Ora. I wonder if their sexual relationship had anything to do with him and the beautiful Chanel Iman breaking up? Welp, either way the album is AMAZING! If you haven’t bought it or listened to it, I would definitely recommend you to go do so.
